Protest and Notice

On Sunday, November 7, a group of Hualapai tribal members and supporters from Phoenix, San Diego, and San Francisco delivered a letter of notice to American Drilling Corp at Burro Creek, appx 15 miles south of Ha’Kamwe’ and Cholla Ranch, informing them that they are desecrating ancestral Hualapai land. The company is conducting exploration drilling on behalf of Bradda Head Lithium.

On Monday, November 8, the group protested at the Bureau of Land Management office in Kingman, Arizona, against the mining exploration that is occurring throughout the Big Sandy River Watershed. They delivered a letter of notice to the BLM but were denied entry to the office.

Thank you to all who came out, with a special shout out to the cooks and media personnel.
